Starting this fall the University of Scranton's athletic teams will be joining the Landmark Conference.
The seven other schools are: Catholic University, Washington, D.C.; Drew University, Madison, N.J.; Goucher College, Baltimore; Juniata College, Huntingdon; Moravian College, Bethlehem; Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove; and the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, N.Y.
The conference will offer baseball, basketball, cross country, field hockey, indoor and outdoor track, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis and volleyball.
Athletics director Toby Lovecchio said Landmark Conference officials inquired several months ago whether or not Scranton would be interested in joining. Royals teams have been a member of the MAC since the 1945-46 academic year. |
